BIOGRAPHY
Anne Leturque holds a doctorate in the history of medieval art (joint international supervision by the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Paul-Valéry University of Montpellier) under the direction of Professors Manuel Castineiras and Géraldine Mallet.
During her doctoral thesis, Anne Leturque, with the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs of Languedoc, and Paul-Valéry University (Montpellier Centre for Medieval Studies EA 4583), organized and coordinated the factura research program that has now become a collaborative platform [http://factura-recherche.org]. Curator of the exhibition: Du fragment à l’ensemble: les peintures murales de Casesnoves [From fragment to ensemble: the murals of Casesnoves], she also co-directed a publication with Mme Géraldine Mallet entitled “Arts picturaux en territoires catalans (XIIe -XIVe siècle): approches matérielles, techniques et comparatives” [Pictorial arts in Catalan territories (XIIth-XIVth century): material, technical and comparative approaches], Montpellier, Presses universitaires de la Méditerranée, 2015. She has been a lecturer at Paul- Valéry University since 2012.
Starting out as an educator for 11 years, Anne Leturque then carried out double professional retraining: firstly academic, with a professional degree in ancient architecture and restoration techniques, followed by a course in Master 1 and 2 before obtaining a doctorate in medieval art history in November 2015. Secondly, she trained on a more practical basis, as a heritage decoration painter.
